Our Growing Season...

We want to show you the process of how onions are raised from seed to harvest.

It all starts with these little green seeds, (in the bucket at left with Mike) which are planted in March and April...

The newly harvested onions are unloaded off the truck onto a conveyor belt where the crew sorts out debris and then the onions are run up the belt and piled into the bulk storage shed.

Harvest begins in August and ends in mid October.

These onions are now ready to be packed or can remain safely in storage until the end of March.

Here Skip is steering the piler as the onions are run into the bulk storage.....

The storage is full!

Onions reach their full maturity in late summer and are ready to be harvested.
