Schiemer Farms is located in the beautiful and fertile high desert of Eastern Oregon. The long, warm summer days and cool nights provide ideal conditions for growing onions. Eastern Oregon and Idaho share the highest yield per acre in the United States. Our rich volcanic soil and furrow, sprinkler, and drip irrigation help to produce large high quality onions available from August through March. Schiemer Farms is a third generation farm combining years of experience and hard work and utilizing the latest in agricultural technology to make our onion crop the best that it can be. We pack only our own onions and we value the one on one relationship we develop with our customers. |

We pack yellow, red, and white onions, available in all sizes, 5 days a week both for the fresh market and for processing from August through late March. |

ONIONS FOR PROCESSING… |

Schiemer Farms also packs onions for processing. These onions are inspected and packed into bulk bags that hold approx. 2,000 lbs. The onions are then directly shipped to the processing company to be peeled and cut into strips or diced and are used in a variety of prepared onion products such as onion rings, salsa, and dehydrated onions. |
